Phishing Scams
More and more scams!
Utah Heritage Credit Union and the entire banking community are seeing more and more aggressive attempts to access member account information through scams and phishing. Please make sure that you, your family and your friends are aware of these attempts. Scrutinize any attempt to get your personal information. Keep in mind, that UHCU will never contact you to ask for your username, password, PIN or code word. If you have any concerns about a text message, call or email, please immediately contact our service center at 435-436-8288.
Don’t give out your information!
- Credit Union employees do not know or need your username, password, PIN and code words. They will not contact you and ask for this information.
- Criminals may use false credentials so you may not always know who is texting, e-mailing or calling you.
- Know and verify who you’re talking to by initiating the call. If you’re not sure who is contacting you, initiate the call to the credit union’s official phone number at 435-436-8288.
Stop these criminals by being informed, vigilant and suspicious! Verify!
